Colline Du Chaâteau, Nice

This is a great line up of activities for anyone who loves the world of science, in partnership with the city of Nice, the French Ministry of Education, ‘les petits debrouillards’ which is a national science and tech association. On Saturday, you can problem-solve with robots, explore the world of STEM with Legos, learn how to save the bees, learn how to read the night sky with astrology, get up close with fossils from the French Riviera and more. On Sunday you can 3D print your own design, uncover the way physics is involved in our daily lives, grasp a better understanding of the way cells make up our bodies, have a computer using artificial intelligence determine your emotions, receive facts on global warming as well as the little ways we can all help to prevent it and more.

Varying times and locations

There is a rich and diverse tapestry of culture from Africa. With 54 different countries that make up the beautiful continent, there is so much to discover and learn. Luckily, there is a festival celebrating Africa with activities starting on Wednesday with live storytellers, presentation of African books, musicians, and a screening of the film “Ballon d’Or” by Cheik Doukouré. The activities will take place at La Vallière AnimaNice Center starting at 2.30 pm and the screening will take place at the Nice Cinema at 4 pm. On Thursday there is a presentation for children on nursery rhymes, songs, and tales accompanied by live musicians at the AnimaNice Costanzo Center from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. On Saturday from 10h to 18h on the Promenade du Paillon, there is a momentous all-day celebration filled with activities and attractions. From traditional African dance performances, African music concerts, braiding workshops, a fashion show, dance workshops for adults as well as children to stands representing UNICEF, Action Against Hunger, Association Actions of Artists Act for Africa (AAAAA), Ivorian Associations of the Côte d'Azur (AICA), Africa and Elsewhere: Law, Integration, Citizenship and Culture (AADICC) and other important organisations. 8 am to 11 pm

For two weeks, the City of Nice celebrates the beauty of theatre and value it brings to our lives. With nearly 200 performances and shows spanning categories from comedy, improv, Commedia dell'arte, musical, contemporary works, boulevard comedy and more. The vast array of theatre shows available will make it difficult to choose which to see, but you have the full two weeks to spend going to nightly shows. Ideal for those who love theatre, want a new idea for date night or want to experience something different instead of staying home to watch Netflix.
