With the summer season coming to a close, you may think things are going to slow down, but the Nice social scene is as busy as ever. Read on to discover our selection of the best events in Nice in September.
1. Ocean Film Tour #6
Ciné Pathé Lingostière
Thursday, September 5th
8.30 pm to 11:30 pm
An internationally touring film program full of stories of ocean adventures, water sports, and environmentalism. The six films in the program are Julie, 700 Sharks, Chasing The Thunder, Andy Irons - Kissed By God, Surfer Dan, and Blown Away - Sailing Conductors. There will be either French or English subtitles depending on the original language of the film so non-native speakers can follow along.
2. Crossover Summer - MAMAC Party
Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Nice
Saturday, September 2nd
7 pm to Midnight
Celebrate the end of the summer with an unforgettable night at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Nice. There will be live entertainment, a DJ, food trucks and you get to explore all of the great art exhibits without the day crowd. Buy your tickets here.
3. Huge Sales in Nice

Thursday 19th - Friday the 21st
9 am to 8 pm
Not an event in the traditional sense but one you are going to want to pay attention to if you love shopping sales. Numerous vendors will set up stalls in the streets and outside of their shops offering discounts of up to 50% of their products. Although it is spread all over town, you have three full days to explore and find some beautiful new items at a fraction of their original price.
4. Village Latino of Nice - 3rd Edition
Porte-Fausee to Cours Saleya
Sunday, September 22nd
3 pm to 1 am
For anyone who loves to dance, no matter how good or bad you are, this is the ultimate night for Latino dances. The festival is spread out across 11 different bars, and at each one you can learn new Latin dances from the Bachata to the Cuban Salsa, while drinking some drinking some delicious liquid courage. A ticket for the night costs €10, which will also provide you with one free drink at a bar of your choice.
5. The Inaugural Childhood, Family, and Leisure Fair
Palais des Expositions Acropolis
Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September
10 am to 6 pm
Travelling with children and trying to find fun activities for them to do can be a struggle, which is why the Childhood, Family and Leisure Fair was create to give families a fun two days out. The fair is full of child friendly activities and entertainment so you can relax and enjoy watching your children have a great time. There will also be food trucks present so the fun doesn't have to stop! All kids under 18 years of age are free, and a ticket is €5 for adults.
